The stretchy fabric clings to the sofa, so it doesn't have that "covered" look. The separate cusion cover helps that look as well as holding the main piece in place. I have a big family and buy second hand furniture. These slipcovers make all the difference.

These slipcovers are awesome, they fit very well on your sofa to make it appear like that's the original cover, note that if fits better on straight line sofas with padded arms. The color is a little darker than what it looks like in the sample picture. Overall, I LOVE THEM!!!
